Hair Raising

December 14, 2006

Ever since I had my hair fixed I get weird comments and reactions…

  • my stylist told me I looked like an angel, wings na lang kulang
  • my husband said I look young (meaning I looked old before =P)
  • my mom told my dad that I looked like an artista na
  • our director told me the same thing
  • a number of colleagues want to have their picture taken with me, hahaha!
  • a colleague told me that for sure I’ll get pregnant already
  • another told me that with a hair like this I’ll need a car
  • overheard a mall attendant saying “Si ma’am maganda nga, suplada naman” after I refused to get sprayed by the perfume he’s holding

At first, I felt flattered by the attention. Now, I really feel weird. Imagine, five people staring at you all at the same time. They even ask you to turn around for them.

The worst experience I had was two days ago on my way to work. You see, Joven and I ride the train in the morning. He gets off a station ahead of me. In that short span of time , a man almost scared me to death. He stood in front of me and started to take pictures using his mobile phone. Stupid as he was, I can very much hear the clicking sound every time he takes my photo. I was really scared because there were a few people on board and they were quite far from us. I was also scared to stand because he might grab me or whatever. I slid off my seat and got off as fast as I can for fear that he might follow me. Sheesh. Psycho.
